Negeri Sembilan (NS) lies in the central region of Peninsular Malaysia, just south of the state of Selangor. Seremban, the state capital, is a mere 40km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Hence, it is well connected to major towns and cities in the western coast of the Peninsula. There is also an excellent network of roads linking it to the east coast.
Besides this, the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) commuter trains also services this area making it highly accessible to Kuala Lumpur. While Seremban is the state capital and administrative center, the royal capital is that of Seri Menanti.
Seremban Lake Gardens are situated at Jalan Taman Bunga. Seremban Lake Gardens home many floras and faunas. One who has visited Seremban Lake Gardens will find peace and tranquility among Seremban Lake Gardens’ verdant environment. Seremban Lake Gardens provide several facilities such as a children park, two lakes with boating services and jogging tracks around Seremban Lake Garden. Sri Menanti Grand Palace is the ruler of Negeri Sembilan’s official residence. Sri Menanti Grand Palace was constructed in the year of 1933. Sri Menanti Grand Palace is a modern palace, where it is located at 200m away from the Sri Menanti Old Palace.Sri Menanti Grand Palace stands majestically amidst the rolling greenery of landscaped grounds. Sri Menanti Grand Palace is the place where Tengku Ampuan and his consort hold the audience with the people. Sri Menanti Grand Palace also comprises of the Royal Regalia such as the royal spear, sword, keris, umbrella and other royal paraphernalia.
Cultural Handicraft Complex is situated at Jalan Labu. Cultural Handicraft Complex comprises of several buildings such as Rumah Negeri Sembilan, Teratak Pepatih, the State Museum, the replica of the Megaliths and the Top Spinning Court. Rumah Negeri Sembilan is an authentic Minangkabau house. Tourists can walk around the Cultural Handicraft Complex and at the same time learning the history and culture of Negeri Sembilan.
Wet World Air Panas Pedas is situated adjacent to Pedas Village. Wet World Air Panas Pedas is about 15km away from Seremban along the highway to Tampin. Wet World Air Panas Pedas consists of mineral-rich spring water, where it is claimed to have curative properties for skin ailments.
Wet World Air Panas Pedas has private bathtubs and two open-air pools. Wet World Air Panas Pedas has many attractions include the twin slides, wading pool, wave pool and underwater reflexology footpath. These attractions offer recreation and fun to the visitors.

Jelita Ostrich Show Farm is the home to the world’s largest birds. Jelita Ostrich Show Farm is constructed on glade about 9km from Seremban along Jalan Pantai. Terachi Cultural Village is situated on the wide paddy fields. These wide paddy fields are located between the lush green hills of Bukit Putus and Seri Menanti Royal Town.
Terachi Cultural Village has dainty souvenirs, delicious traditional cakes and unique and beautiful handicraft. Visitors can experience and enjoy watching the cultural performances, which include traditional drama, music, dances and singing.
Seremban Animal Park is situated at about 10km from Seremban along Jalan Pantai on the road to Jelebu. Seremban Animal Park is a livestock station, were it dedicates to the breeding and farming of ostrich, deer and other animals. As ostrich farming is growing in popularity, Seremban Animal Park provides a comprehensive understanding into the rearing of ostrich from Africa.
Fort Kempas is situated at about 37km away from Port Dickson. Fort Kempas is popular for its mysterious carved megalithic stone monuments due to their shapes, which look like “The Sword”, The “Rudder” and “The Spoon”. Fort Kempas was placed near to the grave of the Islamic missionary, which is known as Sheikh Ahmad Mahjun. This grave is the oldest Islamic grave in Malaysia.
Fort Lukut is located at 7km northeast of Port Dickson. Fort Lukut was built in the year of 1847 on Bukit Gajah Mati. The purpose of Fort Lukut was to protect and control the profitable tin trade in Lukut. Fort Lukut was an excellent example of a 19th century fortified defense structure.
Tanjung Tuan has a history that span over 137 years. Previously, Tanjung Tuan is known as Cape Rachado. Tanjung Tuan comprises of a colonial styled lighthouse that overlooks the Straits of Malacca.
In the 16th century, Rachado Lighthouse was constructed by the Portugese. Rachado Lighthouse served as a beacon for ships sailing to the Malacca’s port. Rachado Lighthouse has set up A MEASAT radar for the purpose of communication and transmission.
Sri Menanti Palace consists of a five-storey building. In the early part of 20th century, Sri Menanti Palace has been renovated to replace an old palace that was burnt down. Sri Menanti Palace was designed by two local carpenters and craftsmen.
Sri Menanti Palace was constructed with traditional methods without the use of a single nail. Sri Menanti Palace stands majestically on 99 pillars. The heights of these 99 pillars are 65 meters. These pillars represent the 99 warriors of the various clans of the state. In the year of 1992, Sri Menanti Palace was then converted to the Royal Museum.
State Museum is for visitors who love history. State Museum is located within the Cultural Handicraft Complex. In the past, State Museum is a palace. State Museum was completed constructed with the used of wood and without the used of any nails.
State Museum is now open to the public. State Museum has majestic features that flaunt the glory of its past where it was a royal splendor when the palace stood at its old site at Kampung Ampang Tinggi.
State Museum consists of rich crafted building. State Museum houses many historical artifacts such as silverware, brass and weapons. These historical artifacts certainly will increase the appreciation of the state’s historical wealth from its visitors. State Museum also exhibits a tableau portraying a grand royal wedding.
Astana Raja Museum is situated in Rembau. Astana Raja Museum is a replica of the first palace, which was constructed for over 300 years ago by the first Yang Di-Pertuan Besar, which is known as Raja Melewar. Astana Raja Museum houses several exhibition galleries such as ancient sports equipment, historical objects and other artifacts belonging to the rulers of the past.
