General Terms and Conditions
1. The Rental
- Each day of rental is defined as 24 hours.
- Excess of 3 hours rental will be charged at additional 1 day rental.
- All confirmation of reservation is subject to availability of vehicle.
2. The Rates
A)
Daily Rates Include:
- Unlimited mileage
- 5% Government Service Tax (GST) imposed on rental rates.
- Basic Waiver (BW)
- Excess Waiver (EW)
- Theft waiver (TW)
- Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
- Full maintenance as a result of normal wear and tear
- Replacement vehicle
- 24-hours emergency and breakdown service nationwide
Monthly Rates Include:

3. Waivers And Insurance
A) Basic Waiver (BW) and Excess Waiver (EW)
The hirer is responsible for all damages to the vehicle, regardless of fault.
These costs may include parts, labour, towing and storage costs, a daily fee for Marimari's loss of use of the vehicle and an administration fee.
However, as BW & EW are included in the rates quoted and subject to the terms and conditions stated in the Rental Agreement, the hirer’s liability is reduced to a maximum liability of:

B) Theft Waiver (TW)
This waives the hirer's liability in the event of theft of all or part of the vehicle. If Theft Waiver is not included in the rate, it is available at a cost of RM 150.00 per month for 1600 c.c. vehicle and below, and RM 300.00 per month for vehicle above 1600 c.c.
If Theft Waiver is not purchased or included, the customer is liable for the cost of replacing a stolen vehicle or parts stolen from the vehicle up to a maximum responsibility amount. In addition to the cost of replacement vehicle or parts, the following charges may also be included unless the loss is total: labour, costs associated with the recovery and storage of a vehicle immobilised as a result of the theft, a daily fee for Marimari's loss of the vehicle as an administration fee.
Theft Waiver will not be in effect if vehicle is driven out of Malaysia unless with prior written
consent from Marimari.
C) Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Provides death & permanent disability coverage as follow:-
- Car & 4WD: Insurance coverage for death & permanent disability of RM 30,000.00 for driver and RM 10,000.00 per passenger up to a maximum of RM 70,000.00.
- MPV: Insurance coverage for death & permanent disability of RM 30,000.00 for driver and RM 10,000.00 per passenger up to maximum of RM 90,000.00.
PAI is not included in the rates for monthly rental and is available at a cost of RM 150 per month.
BW, EW, PAI & TW will only be effected subject to the availability of a police report made within 24 hours
after an incident involving damages or loss of the vehicle.
4. Reservations
- Confirmation of reservation is subject to availability of the requested models at the time of
enquiry.
- Reservation status will be advised within 2 working days from the receipt of the reservation.
- Reservations can only be confirmed with the following driver details:
- Full name (as per I/C or passport)
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Passport number and expiry date
- Driving licence number, expiry date and issuing country
- Home address
- Home contact number
- Mobile number (if any)
- Credit card details of the hirer (main driver)
- Name of card holder, credit card number, expiry date, security pin number
5. Deposit
- A security deposit in the form of an imprinted and signed blank credit / charge card slip will be required from the hirer at the time of rental to cover any incidental costs such as petrol, parking charges, excess charges, etc.
- Marimari Car Rental reserves the right to refuse its car rental services if this term is not met.
- Marimari accepts: American Express, Diners Club, Visa, Mastercard and other major credit cards.
- Cash deposits and debit cards are not accepted.
6. Driver Regulations
- Driver must be at least 21 years old. Maximum driver age is 70 years old.
- Driver must posses a valid Malaysian driving licence or a driving licence from a Commonwealth Country or an International Driving Permit with qualified driving experience of at least one year.
7. The Vehicle
A) Replacement Car
- A temporary replacement vehicle shall be provided when necessary. However, the replacement
vehicle may not be of similar capacity, make and model.
B) Vehicle Maintenance
- MCR shall undertake to provide full maintenance of the car hire subject to fair wear & tear.
- MCR cars are subject to be driven in all Government gazetted roads only.
- Failing to comply, the hirer shall be liable for all accident and repair costs including undercarriage repair & cleaning, interior upholster & loss of use during the repair & maintenance period.
8. Fuel
- All vehicles will be rented out with a full tank of fuel. Vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel. Any differences in fuel will be charged at Marimari’s standard refuelling charges.
9. Surcharges
A) Delivery and Collection
- Delivery and collection charges apply when the pick-up and drop-off location is not at Mayflower’s rental stations.
• These are chargeable from RM 15.00 onwards per collection or delivery, depending on the distance and accessibility of the destination from the rental station.
• Delivery and collection charges are subject to change in the event of increase in fuel prices.
• Charges are inclusive of 5% Government Service Tax.

B) Intercity Drop-Off Charges / Repositioning Fees
- Intercity drop-off charges or repositioning fees apply when the vehicle is returned to a different city or state from the pick-up location.
- Intercity drop-off is allowed with a minimum of 3 days rental.
- Intercity drop-off charges within Peninsular Malaysia are subject to change in the event of increase in fuel prices.
- Charges are inclusive of 5% Government Service Tax.

C) Non-Operating Hours Surcharge
- Vehicle pick-up & drop-off are available free of charge from our rental stations during operating hours.
- Non-operating hours surcharge applies should hirer need to pick up or drop off the vehicle during
non-operating hours. The charges are as follow:
- MYR52.50 per pick-up or drop-off.
- MYR105.00 for pick-up and drop-off from 2300hrs to 0700hrs.
- All confirmation of vehicle pickup/delivery/collection outside normal working hours is strictly
subject to operation personnel availability.

10. Parking & Traffic Fines
- All parking fees or traffic fines incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the hirer.
- Marimari Car Rental reserves the right to charge to the hirer’s credit/charge card after the rental period for any amount stipulated by the authorities for settlement of all traffic fines and summonses. An administrative charge of MYR50.00 will also be imposed for administration service. These charges are applicable upon receipt of notification of any traffic offences from the authorities.
11. Entry into Singapore, Thailand, Brunei and Indonesia
All vehicles are prohibited from being driven into these countries.
12. Other Terms and Conditions
Other Marimari’s terms and conditions on the reverse side of our rental agreement apply. The terms
and conditions may change without prior notice.
